Five minutes after stepping into the Henry Ford theater I saw the first set of fangs. It was a modest gathering for the first annual Vamire-Con. The convention floor held a variety of vendors selling costumes, books and vampire memorability. We sat in on the second panel - sexuality in the Vampire genre. The panelists ranged from the writer of the original Vampirella, to Celeste, the Velvet Vampire to the TV cast of The Lair. The last panel was entirely dedicated to Vampirella, culminating in the crowning of the finalist of the Vampirella model search. The daywalkers portion over, the setup for the Vampire ball began. Out came the red carpet as the vamps, steampunks and creatures come from out of the darkness. The highlight of the evening being a brillant, sexy, electrifyimg performance by lucent Dossier. A good time was had by all - dead or undead.
