2015 No Pants Metro Ride
Sunday was the day to forget about all the bad in the world and focus on some simple things. Like riding the Los Angeles metro Red line with no pants.
This Event, in its 7th year here in Los Angeles, is initiated by Improve Everywhere, a group dedicated to making sure we don't all take ourselves too serious and whose tagline is "We create Scenes".
The pants optional riders are instructed to act casual and go about the business of striding through Union Station and riding the metro trains as if they weren't in a business suit and boxers or frilly briefs and a t-shirt.
Watching peoples reactions is the best part of the ride. One guy had a smile from ear to ear, as new people hopped on and off the train for the multiple stops between Pershing Square and Hollywood.
After two short hours, the ride ended at the Hollywood and Highland station where the group headed upstairs and proudly upstaged the usual talent on Hollywood Blvd and headed off to a local bar to continue the party.
